Some Food Updates
We ate at some really good restaurants while we were there. In fact, I would say we didn't have any bad meals at all and some of the meals were the best we had anywhere. We tried a lot of exotic game meats and of course the seafood that Cape Town is known for. Their produce was always fresh and they prepared some traditional dishes with some new twists. Our first night we went to Baia Restaurant in the Waterfront Mall. I had been there on my previous trip (see my blog about that first meal). It was pouring down raining our first night as we made our way to the restaurant. They sat us at the exact table where I sat on the precious trip. Although the patio is enclosed in glass the top portion is opened. The wind and rain was so strong that it actually got us wet and we asked to be moved into the inside. Laura ordered this lovely pear, spinach and warm goat cheese salad for a starter. The first of many good meals to come.
