Roast Zebra

So here's my take on the different meat. We started with kudu sausage. It was a little dry and tasted like a typical brat. The next few courses were chicken wings, legs, pork sausage and pork ribs. The pork ribs were one of my favorites of the whole night. They were tender with a great smokey flavor and balanced with a sweet tangy sauce. Then the exotic meat began. It started with grilled kudo. This was my favorite from last time we visited. It reminds me of a tri tip in terms of consistency and flavor. Mine was done rare with a crispy outside layer. it is a very lean meat with plenty of flavor. This was followed by crocodile which is somewhat difficult to eat as it is mostly bone (similar to ribs). It is fairly fatty and has a lamb-like flavor. This was one of Laura's favorites. Next we had impala. It was very flavorful and similar to the kudu. Next up was zebra. This was my favorite for this visit. It was the most flavorful of all the meats. Mine was done medium well and had a deep rich flavor to it similar to a ribeye steak. There was a slight hint of sweetness to it and was very tender. The final courses were roast beef and lamb. Overall a great evening.
