Micro Finance

Our last stop in Swaziland was visiting an investing group. World Vision has help organize a group of investors hoping to raise money for raising pigs. They each contribute around 100 Rand a month (about $14). They can take loans from the "bank" that have to be repaid with interest. They borrow money to help build their pig barns and finance their pig operations. Most of the profit is funneled into programs that benefit orphans. Micro finance is a great way to equip people to use their entrepreneurial gifts to provide for their family and other.
